For compilations of laws affecting animals in Minnesota, there are three great resources.
- The first is the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s Animal Protection Laws of America and Canada, 6th edition, Minnesota section, compiled in 2011.
- The second is the the Minnesota Animal Control Association’s 2007 manual, Animal Control Officer’s Guide to Minnesota Animal Laws.Please note that because the MACA manual was published in 2007, there are laws relating to animals that have subsequently been passed and that are not included in this manual.
