Election season is here

On Nov 6, 2012, all 201 seats in the Minnesota Legislature will be up for election. Due to redistricting and retirement of several state legislators, elections this year and the slate of candidates, and especially endorsed candidates, is more unexpected than usual. The deadline for candidate filing is June 7, and primaries will be held Aug 14, 2012.

Minnesota Voters for Animal Protection is currently researching and surveying candidates, and will offer support to those candidates who support animal-friendly legislation. If you would like to volunteer your time helping with research and helping in the campaigns of select candidates, please contact us here.
