Former State Representative Barb Goodwin Receives DFL Endorsement for State Senate
More information on animal-friendly candidate Barb Goodwin
On June 29, 2010, the DFL party endorsed former State Representative Barb Goodwin to run for the State Senate in District 50, which serves the northern Twin Cities suburbs. The DFL had previously endorsed Senator Satveer Chaudhary to run for reelection but pulled the endorsement due to ethics troubles the Senator has experienced since the close of the legislative session.
Senator Chaudhary has been facing opposition since he attempted to add into game and fish legislation a special walleye provision for a lake on which he owns a cabin.
Goodwin is currently a Columbia Heights school board member and an adjunct professor at Hamline University Graduate School. She previously served three terms as a state representative from district 50A.
